What are the dots on my scorecard?

You might be wondering what the dots showing on your scorecard are? You might see something that looks like this:

The dots you are seeing means that you are stroking that hole. So, based on the handicap you have in, the boxes/circles around your score are going to show on how you stroked.

For instance, on Hole 3 you scored a 5. But you were stroking. That means on paper you scored a 5, but based on your HCP you actually only bogied.

On hole 5, You bogied, but because of the you were stroking, your HCP considers you as paring.
